Philadelphia Christian School will not deny an education to a student who is infected with a communicable disease based on the infection. Our policy regarding communicable diseases is consistent with the guidelines set forth by the Center for Disease Control and the State of Georgia. If PCS believes a student is infected with a communicable disease, he may be removed from the school setting for a period of up to ten days to determine the severity of the disease and its risk of contagion to others. The determination as to whether or not the student will be allowed to continue to attend school will be made by the administration and education committee of PCS after consultation with the student's physician, a public health official knowledgeable about the disease and/or a physician retained by our school.
